  1. Agreed—it smells divine!! Neighbors dropped off some holiday goodies and commented immediately, asking what I was making.

    I started late so I did it on high in the slow cooker. Took about 4.5-5 hours to get my brisket nice and tender. Added the veg at the 2.5-hour mark. Different flavor combo than I’d normally seek out, but nicely balanced—a tad warming spices with some good acid from the tomatoes, all spiked with a sweet hit from the prunes.
