About the Group

Cook the Book Fridays has its origins in a group of bloggers who cooked through Dorie Greenspan’s Around My French Table.  The camaraderie and friendships have been without parallel and so we aimed to continue our cooking connections.

Cook the Book Fridays began with semi-monthly posts on the first and third Fridays while cooking through David Lebovitz’s My Paris Kitchen and completed that book in August 2019.

As of November 2018, we are excited to begin also cooking through Everyday Dorie, posting on the second and fourth Fridays of the month.

      1. Hi Vickie, you do not need a blog to participate, though usually some sort of online record (photo and write-up of your experiences) is how we share and interact with each other. So, you do not need a blog, though it’s very easy to start one. Just Google start a free blog on WordPress and it can get you all set up. It may be easier to get a family member or friend to help you get started in person!

      1. Hello! I would like to join this group as well. First time blogger I’m totally green. Reading the posts from other members along with some encouragement from a lovely friend has intrigued me to give this a try if you’ll have me.

  1. I too am a first time blogger and was intrigued by Betsy who is such a great blogger. I loved reading her stories and just HAD to join, I actually joined in the last 3 months of French Fridays with Dorie. I love experiencing all these recipes, but I love more reading everyone’s blogs. It is so interesting, happy, sad and enlightening. You will love it.

  2. Hi! I have been baking with TWD for years and would like to join in on Dorie’s new cookbook with you all on Fridays. I see the April 12 scheduled recipe but how do I link up my email so I receive the LYL and future scheduled recipes? Thanks!

    1. Hello and welcome! You can “follow” the blog by clicking on the small “Follow” box in the lower right-hand corner of the page. It’s available on all pages in all views so you shouldn’t need to scroll down. It asks for your email address and then you will be notified every time there is a new post.
