LYL: Rosa Jackson’s Bourride

it’s the final leave your links!

Thank you to all who’ve ever read and/or participated in cook the book Fridays! Back after French Fridays with Dorie completed Around my French Table and we were wanting to continue the community, I volunteered to be the admin. My husband chuckled and asked where I’d find the time: I assured him it’d only take a few minutes a month extra. That was now 8 years ago, in January 2016 that I created this site and we got to work on My Paris Kitchen. Much has changed since then for all of us! And yet, we’ve had these recipes and these cookbooks uniting people from all over, which remains one of the most marvelous things about the internet, to my mind.

Cheers, everyone, and congratulations!

  1. BEST thing to come out of my blogging career has been the friendships I have made through this group. Thank you admins and everyone ❤ I lost my mum recently and following along these recipes on my blog with the Dorie books I would send her was such a lovely way to connect with her even though we were far away. I will cherish this connection forever as well.

  2. I’m most grateful for the connections I’ve made here with our fellow home-cooks –– recipe by recipe throughout the years. There are so much learning, support, comments, and occasionally, sharing of our personal journeys which fill this internet space with joy and human touch. Who can forget Chez Nana Rosemary who regularly shared her food stories and pictures of her travels?

I’ll miss all that, for sure. Thank you so very much, Katie, for your diligence in administering and made it all possible for us to complete the book.
